ISKCON’s founder-acharya A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami greatly emphasized the distribution of spiritual literature such as Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and several other Vedic scriptures. The Sankirtan Department at ISKCON Dwarka Dham aims to distribute Vedic literature and books written or translated by Srila Prabhupada. Access to scriptures is necessary to follow instructions in the scriptures, engage in devotional service (bhakti) and thereby attain eternal peace and happiness.
